About

Camper News Now covers what matters to people who camp, from tents to motorhomes. We report the news that changes your plans, such as park closures, fee and reservation changes, public-land policy and product recalls. We also publish practical guides to gear, RVs and places to stay, from national parks to free dispersed sites.

How we work

Every news story links to its primary source, such as an agency notice, a recall filing or official data. Brands don’t pay for coverage, and we correct mistakes openly. See our Editorial Policy for details.

Who we are

Camper News Now was founded by Jared, who has camped his whole life, in tents and in RVs, and has spent years hiking and exploring the Four Corners region and Texas. That experience shapes what we cover: the closures, rules and practical details that make or break a real trip.

We’re a small, independent newsroom that is growing. Every story is researched, checked against its sources and edited before it’s published, and we’re always glad to hear from campers, RVers and writers who know their corner of the map. If that’s you, get in touch. Contact us, or follow us on Instagram at @campernewsnow.
